Synopsis
This short paper demonstrates why and how Local Authorities could improve relevance and efficiency in Planning their Services provision, using a more direct method of Community Engagement. – ‘Having community-based Staff with Social Psychology expertise to secure a more objective foundation to their STRATEGIC COMMUNITY PLANS that are required to verify in terms of Engagement a measurable context of Baseline Data and Targets for their CORPORATE BUSINESS PLANS.
(Note: Universities in WA are now offering ‘Community Development’ as a graduate specialisation in Social Psychology programmes.)
